With our second Wedding season in full swing, we took a little time out from planning your picture-perfect ceremonies to catch up with a few of our favourite couples and share some memories from their special day. This week, join us as we take a look back at Ellie & Terry’s special day at Abbots…
Firstly, we just wanted to say congratulations once again and we hope you had an amazing honeymoon. Thank you so much for taking the time to sit down and have a little catch up with us.
No problem at all, we haven’t been able to stop looking at our Wedding photos. I cant thank you enough for everything you did for us .
That’s great and thank you for the compliments. May we start with asking what first made you choose Abbots Court for your special day?
During a break between COVID lockdowns, we had the opportunity to visit Abbots Court. Although the venue's construction was not entirely finished at the time, their vision and plans perfectly aligned with what we were seeking in a wedding venue. The idea of a fresh, new venue intrigued us as we wanted something unique, and once Abbots Court was fully completed, it exceeded all our expectations, it was everything we dreamed of and more!
In contrast to many other places that seemed impersonal and operated like wedding assembly lines, Abbots Court stood out for the exceptional dedication of its staff. They went above and beyond to make our day truly special and throughout the entire process. Securing the venue for the entire weekend was of utmost importance to us, as it allowed us to extend the celebration and share precious moments with our extended family and friends.
Words cannot adequately express the incredible experience we had during our weekend celebration, and we cannot thank and praise the Abbots Court team enough for their involvement in making it unforgettable.
Thank’s so much guys, we must say the couples who placed their trust in us whilst visiting during our rebuild and renovations was truly heart warming. Looking back on your special day, we’d love to know what were your highlights of your wedding weekend?
Singling out just one moment is challenging, as every part of our wedding day at Abbots Court was filled with joy. However, one particularly special memory stands out—the unforgettable time we had in the walled garden, enjoying our delightful drinks reception, capturing photos, playing lawn games, and listening to beautiful music. Then, as we sat at our top table, surrounded by our guests, we loved the atmosphere of the pavilion, which provided an amazing space for our celebration.
Witnessing our guests mingling and enjoying the evening festivities was a perfect sight, as Abbots Court seamlessly adapted to accommodate all the various aspects of our celebration throughout the day. The cherished moments of catching up with friends by the pods in the evening, then on Sunday playing garden games while enjoying a hog roast, and later, winding down with evening drinks by the fire pit, and even relaxing in the hot tub beneath the night stars, all contributed to making our wedding experience truly unforgettable.
And last but by no means least; what advice would you give to other wedding couples considering Abbots Court as their venue?
Abbots Court is a breathtaking venue with picturesque scenery, offering an array of exceptional features and qualities for couples to embrace and relish every moment of their special day. Its natural beauty, historic charm, and impeccable services make it an ideal choice for couples seeking a memorable and enchanting setting for their wedding.
The venue's beauty speaks for itself, allowing for a "less is more" approach to decorations, we discovered that simple, elegant touches sufficed, letting the venue's inherent charm take centre stage.
