Meet Our Couples - The Griffins
With our second Wedding season in full swing, we took a little time out from planning your picture-perfect ceremonies to catch up with a few of our favourite couples and share some memories from their special day. First up we caught up with our newlyweds; Kevin & Hayley…
Firstly, we just wanted to say congratulations once again and we hope you had an amazing honeymoon. Thank you so much for taking the time to sit down and have a little catch up with us.
So lovely to hear from you and huge congratulations on the award . We are great thank you, loving married life! It’s the best. We can’t believe how fast time flies and that it’s been a couple of months already. Of course we are more than happy to help.
That’s great and thank you for the compliments, the team are delighted with the award (hard work pays off!) May we start with asking what first made you choose Abbots Court for your special day?
Well , I had always imagined in my mind how I wanted to feel at my wedding venue. It wasn’t just about the physical appearance of the venue although that was very important to me, I wanted it to feel magical, I wanted it to take my breath away and give me butterflies every time I thought about it. It’s the most incredible day, marrying your soul mate and love of your life and I wanted the venue to reflect that. I’ve always gone with my gut feelings throughout life and peoples energy, so when we arrived at Abbots Court which is absolutely stunning I knew instantly that I would fall in love with it and that it would be the place for us! Abbots Court was the perfect and most magical venue for us, it’s beautiful surroundings, walled garden, use of the house for the weekend and amazing stable for the ceremony ticked every box for us. We were able to extend our wedding from just a day to a weekend of celebrations with close family & friends.
Thank’s so much guys, we must admit if there’s two things in life we trust most they are gut feelings and butterflies. Looking back on your special day, we’d love to know what were your highlights of your wedding weekend?
There are so many incredible memorable moments for me as a bride, it’s so very hard to pick but here are a few from me…
Arriving at the front of the house knowing that this was the start of our wedding weekend, the excitement to see and be at the venue the day before was unreal. The day was so nearly here to marry the person I love most in the world. I couldn’t wait to show the family and friends around and to start getting all the preparations started.
The moment I began to walk down the aisle, my song playing and seeing Kev for the first time on our wedding day stood with Kyle by his side.
Being introduced to our loved ones as Mr & Mrs Griffin for the very first time, whilst walking amongst bubbles, sunshine and the beautiful courtyard outside the stable.
And last but by no means least; what advice would you give to other wedding couples considering Abbots Court as their venue?
My advice to any couples considering Abbots Court for their wedding venue would be this; If you’re looking for a stunning venue, professional staff, amazing accommodation for loved ones and family, and a wedding weekend experience then Abbots Court is for you.
We visited the venue and took advantage of open day events to help us envisage and plan our day, it gave us the ability to ask many questions which we might have not thought of and to truly connect and build excitement with our venue and the staff. I would 100% recommend Abbots Court to any couple, it is an incredible venue and I will forever remember our magical day & weekend there.
