Our top Wedding trends for 2023 and beyond…

Drowning in Wedding moodboards? Looking for something a little different for your big day? Or just trying to keep up with the Jones’?(we’ve all been there) - We’re here to help with the latest and greatest Wedding Trends of 2023 and beyond.

Signature Cocktails

What better way to mark the joining of your families and friends than with your very own custom cocktail!? Combine your personalities for a custom serve or add a garnish of sentiment with a signature serve with a story.

This past Summer saw the lovely Matt & Alice concoct the delightful ‘Malice’ Cocktail for their guests at Abbots and we couldn’t have been happier to see guests enjoy the perfect talking point to get the party started.

At Abbots, you’ll find our master mixologist and dedicated Weddings manager on hand to help you get creative or enjoy our standard signature cocktail range including classics such as Martinis, Mojitos and our all-new Dark & Stormy.

Looking to get the party in full swing, why not kickstart it with a Happy Hour or a signature cocktail voucher for your guests to enjoy a little treat on you - after all, who doesn’t love a Pornstar Martini or two before hitting the dance floor.

Fun & Games

Whilst the traditional ceremony and speeches will always be the star of the show, we’ve been delighted to see couples giving their guests a full day of entertainment during their special day at Abbots.

From making use of our pétanque and croquet courts to roaming bands making their way around the grounds, it’s been our pleasure to see Abbots play host to a full day of entertainment from noon until night.

Photopoints

It’s no secret, Wedding Albums will forever be the memento that holds all of your favourite Wedding memories, having said that, we love seeing our couples and their guests making the most of social media to capture those all-important Wedding memories.

One of our favourite new trends is seeing couples create Wedding hashtags and stories for guests to contribute to and help capture your Wedding from all angles and perspectives.

Alongside this, there are now an array of new technologies to make use of from 360 selfie stands to drones or why not take advantage of the vast array of photo opportunities at Abbots including our rustic Abbots Tractor and our stunning Pergola complete with a heart shaped tree in the background.

Pop Up Bars & Food Trucks

Whether it’s light bites in the evening after a more formal celebration or a personal Prosecco bar, Abbots has seen it all this season.

Whilst we’ll always recommend making use of our full service kitchen and stunning Wedding Pavilion, we loved seeing guests enjoying an array of food offerings such as delicious wood-fired pizza trucks arriving for an evening pick me up or guests enjoying a full service barbecue from The Walled Wedding Gardens external bar.

Banquet vs Rounds

A tale as old as time, the choice between banquet or round tables is a debate we often see. In 2023 we’re seeing a higher demand for a banquet setting and it’s easy to see why.

Offering a more intimate setting for guests to socialise around a gorgeous display of high flickering candles and statement florals, the banquet setting not only avoids the dreaded round table grouping decisions but looks stunning in all settings.

Sustainability

Sustainable weddings are becoming more and more attainable across the board. No longer are we just talking about biodegradable confetti, the big players from wedding dresses to engagement rings are stepping up to the plate. It’s easier for everyone to make sustainable choices — good news for all of us!

At Abbots we have a fast array of local suppliers who are perfectly placed to keep the emissions down alongside truly sustainable partners on hand to deliver hired suits and dresses and even recycled candles. Even better, keep the carbon footprint down with guests welcome to stay in our luxurious Manor House or on site boutique glamping pods.
