Looking back on our first Summer of Weddings at Abbots…

Our couples enjoy the picture-perfect back drop in the Walled Garden

There’s a reason they call it ‘The Summer of Love’. Having spent the past 24 months carefully turning our Wedding venue dreams in to reality, Summer 2022 will always be remembered as the time we finally got to share our vision with you.

With an incredible response to our initial plans, the majority of our 2022 bookings were secured on the strength of our CGIs and the incredible attention to detail and care from our enquiries and weddings teams (a huge thank you to our wonder women Christina & Cat). With high expectations to be met, we were delighted to be in the position to not only meet but truly exceed them.

We initially took a gamble on planning CGIs as the pavilion was not built yet…. and the gamble most certainly paid off, we’ve since had many of our wedding guests say that it was the best wedding they have ever been to. The house where our family stayed with us was absolutely beautiful, from location to decoration, we were all blown away. The walled garden is absolutely stunning, as was the pavilion and our guests and us could not quite believe we were in the UK! We will most certainly see you again. Love Matt & Alice

Having essentially stripped our disused Victorian Wedding Stables down to its shell and rebuilt it, we were elated to see our couples exchange their vows whilst bathed in the natural light and dulcet tones of the finished project. With a a beautiful canvas to begin with, our trusted suppliers were on hand to help bring our couples dreams to life with those all-important finishing touches. From floral decors to crisp and fresh whites, it was truly our pleasure to witness our couples add their personality to the venue before creating memories that will last a life time.

Our couples exchange their vows in our sun-kissed stables.

We recently got married at Abbot’s Court and cannot believe how lucky we were to find such a spectacular venue! Driving towards Winterborne Kingston, we weren’t quite sure what to expect, but coming through the gates it certainly has the wow factor! A beautiful house, nestled in the most magnificent, picturesque gardens provided the perfect backdrop for our wedding photographs. Not only is the outdoor space wonderful, but the hard work, time and creativity that has gone into turning the indoor areas into a space fit for a wedding is phenomenal. With a palate focused on neutral, natural simplicity, and open, light spaces throughout, it is the perfect space to be transformed to suit any wedding theme and made to feel your own, as it did for us.

Ceremonies completed and tears of joy wiped clean, our couples and their guests were ready to experience our Walled Wedding Garden & Pavilion. With fortune on our side (finally) and a dry Summer for all to enjoy , whether it was afternoon or evening, our wedding parties were making full use of our picturesque Wedding Pergola and sprawling grounds. Indeed, with room to roam we were delighted to welcome a number of local food and drinks suppliers to ‘pop-up’ in the garden ranging from artisan wood-fired pizzas to champagne receptions served from converted horse boxes.

The ability to have friends stay the weekend with us, the informal but beautiful look and feel of Abbots Court and the amazing staff meant we truly had the best day of our lives. We were able to make a weekend of it by hosting a sports day at the venue the next day and everything was made so easy by Kat and the team.

Set up was a breeze, we were given a whole day to prepare and that took the stress out of the big day, which isn’t always a luxury that venues give couples.

We booked Abbots Court, Almer Manor and the Shepard’s huts on site - all provided incredible experiences for our guests and the feedback we have had from everyone that stayed has been amazing. The luxury and well thought out venues added to our wedding experience and guests were definitely keen to try and stay again in future!

As the celebrations took hold, it was time for our wedding parties to deliver their speeches, dine and dance in our Wedding Pavilion. Holding up to 120 guests, our all season Pavilion offered a fully customisable experience for our Wedding Breakfasts and after dinner dances. Over the past few months it’s been our absolute privilege to witness such memorable speeches and heartfelt moments in a space we had the pleasure of building from scratch.

With the comforts of Autumn returning to the court, we have spent the past few days showcasing the venue to our Autumn and Winter bookings and we must say; the vibrant autumnal evenings and illuminated features have us even more excited for the next season of memory making.

Planning your special day? Let us provide the perfect setting. Located just 20 minutes from the Bournemouth and Poole coastline and perfectly nestled amongst the Dorset countryside, Abbots Court has everything you require to create memories that will last a life time.

Yours sincerely,

The Abbots Team
